Four people accused of murdering a newborn baby found dead at a house in Sheffield are to stand trial next year.
The baby girl, who suffered 33 wounds in 15 separate stabbings, was found at a house in Holywell Heights, in the Wincobank area of the city, on Sunday.
Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath, 19, Peter Horvath, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court charged with murdering the child, named only as Baby S. A 15-year-old girl also appeared in court charged with perverting the course of justice.
The adults, all Slovakian nationals, were remanded into custody until the next hearing on 2 October. The girl was remanded into youth custody.
Skopova, of Robey Street, Grimesthorpe, Sheffield, and the other adult defendants, all of Holywell Heights, are also charged with causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice by cleaning the scene of the alleged crime.
On Wednesday, prosecutor Luke Hopkinson told Sheffield Magistrates Court the baby’s body was found on top of a washing machine in an outhouse at the property in Holywell Heights.
